Hello everybody! Jonathan Divertissement is back to review a show from a brand new promotion, Mad Dog Pro Wrestling!

The event took place at John Abbott’s College in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, and to be honest, Jonathan Divertissement was the only frenchy in the crowd, but a spectator told him he had a cool Nordiques jersey, a team the whole province misses dearly.

Before the show, a few fans made wrestler’s impressions. I think they should do that everywhere, that concept has limitless potential!

The CEO (not Mercedes Moné) tells the crowd that Genesis is going to win 5000$ tonight! Major spoiler!!!

JOSH ANGEL versus RYAN ROGAN

The Vagabond went to see the people directly in the stands, hoping to get some spare change!

Josh cannot wait anymore and attacks Ryan while the ref is looking for foreign objects in his boots! Angel is very agressive and really wants that win.

The Angelik one climbs the ropes after a german suplex, but Rogan gets out of the way and finishes the match with a magnificient moonsault!

WINNER: RYAN ROGAN

RICK MAY versus VOLTAGE

Voltage wants to compare strengh, but May is not interrested at all and prefers to choke him using the ropes!

Voltage executes a big bodyslam on Rick, but May is using dirty tactics to regain control and win the match with an hidden foreign object! SCANDAL!!

WINNER: RICK MAY

GENESIS versus KYLE NICHOLSON

Before the match, Genesis tries to convince the crowd that there is trouble in Kyle’s couple! Nicholson says everything is fine and that Genesis is still a virgin! Ooooooh!!

The furious battle blows over to the outside of the ring. Kyle pulls all the stops and suplex Genesis right on the HARD FLOOR!! OUCH!!

Kyle runs the rope a few times for added momentum and BOOM! Big clothesline! Rick May comes out of nowhere and break the count. The match is over by disqualification, but that isn’t stopping Genesis and May from doing damage to Kyle’s leg.

WINNER: KYLE NICHOLSON by DQ!

KEVEN GRAY versus ANGIE SKYE

Keven Gray is so heelish that he spoke to the crowd in french! Major heat! He’s asking who thinks a girl can beat him. The people spoke and said: YES!!

Right away Angie confirms that it would be no fluke if she won, totally dominating Tornado! Keven gets out of the ring and runs away from Skye before things get worse.

Skye’s Meteora is good for a 2 count. Gray blindsides Angie before he knocks her down with his Handspring Cutter. It’s over! But no, Keven lifts her shoulders before the count of 3.

He should not take Angie lightly… He lifts her, and she counters his move with an unprettier!

WINNER: ANGIE SKYE!

LENNY LAFAYETTE versus RONALDO

The match goes to the outside! Ronaldo delivers a couple of headbutts, but Lenny os countering that by biting his forehead! He then tries to use the post to inflict more damages, but ends up hitting the post and hurting his hand.

When Ronaldo tries to get back into the ring, Lafayette snap the second rope between his legs and knocks him down with a DDT!

Lenny catches Ronaldo and slams him hard on the mat before going for a Vader Bomb. Ronaldo moves away, then blocks a chokeslam before bodyslamming the sorcerer real hard! Ronaldo climbs the ropes and crushes Lafayette with a splash!

WINNER: RONALDO!

THE 5000$ BATTLE ROYAL

All the bad guys are in the ring, trying to prevent the good guys from coming in. Ryan Rogan has the temerity to run and dive in the ring. It’s ON!

Josh is sent hard thru the ropes while Lenny and Ronaldo fight on the apron until they mutually eliminate each other.

Keven is eliminated by Kyle with a big clothesline! Genesis gets over the ropes too, but the ref doesn’t notice, too busy arguing with the Tornado.

Nicholson and Ryan think they are the 2 last competitors! Rogan eliminates Kyle with a springboard dropkick, but then gets thrown over the top ropes by the sneaky Genesis while he was celebrating.

WINNER: GENESIS!

Genesis looks really proud to be 5000$ richer!

After the match, Genesis challenged Andy Elison for the Mad Dog Pro Wrestling championship belt. Andy asked the crowd if they want to see that match.

After the show, the Vagabond was begging for money since that’s what he does. His glass seems pretty full. It endend up not so bad even after getting screwed of that 5000$.

On Friday November 11, Main Event Wrestling presented its 16th event entitled LEGACY. Once again, a big card awaited us! So, without further ado, let’s get started with the first match.

Newcomer Bryce Hansen is making his presence felt around the ring in a noisy exchange of chops! Abu ends the chop fest with a blindside and back breaker on the ring apron.

Abu rushes into the cables and comes back strong with a torpedo between the 2nd and 3rd, but Hansen shatters his hopes with a brutal forearm strike!

“It was 2! It was 2! » Abu clearly doesn’t believe it. He climbs onto the 3rd cable but is surprised by a mega double chop followed by a SuperPlesse from Bryce! Hansen then executes a spectacular finisher whose name I don’t know… BANG! It’s over.

WINNER: BRYCE HANSEN!

Two-time world judo champion and Canadian Olympian Shady Elnahas is making his MEW debut! He aspires to one day wrestle in NXT and WWE. We’re gonna have to keep an eye on him for sure!

AHMED vs. BRAD ALEKXIS

The Franchise raps his entrance into the ring to the great pleasure of all his admirers! Franchise UP! F*** Boy DOWN!

Brad executes his Cutter Roll with a springboard in the corner on Ahmed who has the nerves to escape at the count of 2! “It was 3! It was 3! »

Alekxis says it’s Céline Dion Driver time! The height of misfortune for the Franchise: Ahmed gets out of his grip twice rather than once and almost decapitates him with a clothesline from HELL!

WINNER: AHMED!

After the match, Ahmed continues to attack The Franchise. Luckily for Brad, two-time world judo champion Shady Elnahas comes to his rescue with what I believe to be an O-GUSHI*!

* Jonathan Divertissement has some expertise in judo, having won a silver medal at the Montreal Games in the year of grace 1991.

Stu Grayson gets Yayne Harrison’s big boot in the face and gets clotheslined over the top rope. The Top Prospect launches into the cables to dive on Stu, but the former Stupify surprises him by getting back into the ring at lightning speed and puts him over the cables in turn with a clothesline.

Yayne finds himself on the entrance ramp, trying to get up with difficulty when suddenly BOOM! A solid spear from Stu who has arrived like a madman between the 2nd and 3rd!

The referee, Giant Carlo (Giancarlo to his friends), gets crushed in the corner by Yayne! Harrison can’t believe it, turns around and receives a flying knee attack in the face! Grayson is now begging for a new official to show up!

Benny comes rushing in! Stu places Harrison on his back for his finisher, but Yayne manages to escape by falling on the ring apron.

Harrison climbs onto the third cable and Grayson attacks him with a kick to the back of the head before he has the time to jump. Stu performs a SuperPlex! BANG! The two wrestlers grab each other’s legs in a small package while Benny and Giancarlo count at the same time.

WINNER: DOUBLE FALL – DRAW.

It is announced that STU GRAYSON will get his championship shot at MEW17 while YAYNE HARRISON will get his championship shot at MEW18.

SeXXXy Eddy will have reinforcements for this match against the 4 members of PUPPIES! The seXXX eXXXpress will be able to count on the duo composed of Excess and Excess Junior!

We then witness a great demonstration of power as Dreya Mitchell achieves a fisherwoman’s suplex on the imposing champion!

Outside the ring, referee Benny tries to disarm Paterson who wants to intervene with a stick. Mitchell lands a Flatliner, but the ref is still busy on the outside. Things are getting very chaotic.

A surprise awaits us in the ring; Melanie Havok appears out of nowhere and attacks the candidate. Vanessa doesn’t seem at all happy about the situation and wants nothing to do with Havok’s help. Kraven sends Melanie back to the locker room, which allows Dreya to come to her senses and attack the Mountain with a spear!

Mitchell tries to put Kraven on her shoulders, but Vanessa blocks it with elbow strikes! It’s Vanessa’s turn to put Dreya on her shoulders, but this time it’s Mitchell who gets away with her elbows!

Blows are avoided from both sides until the Mountain grabs Dreya by the throat and knocks her down hard with a Choke Bomb! BOOM!

The popularity of the MEW champion cannot be denied!

London softens Carlos’ chest with a big chop before trying to break his back into the post! El Chato turns the tide by sending Lightning onto the barricade sponsored by Lester’s Deli at lightning speed! BANG!

El Chato climbs on the 3rd cable, energized by the spectators! London blocks the jump and drops the champion astride in the corner! OUCH!

Lightning comes up from the outside and performs a SuperPlex on the ramp outside the ring! SICK!

Valderrama finds himself on London’s shoulders and becomes the victim of a big powerbomb. Lightning climbs the cables and jumps towards El Chato who counters with a dropkick hitting Double L in mid-air!

Carlos continues with a first back suplex followed by a 2nd which propels Londons ass over head into the corner of the ring!

The brave champion then climbs onto the 3rd cable and performs a beautiful frog splash!

Last Saturday evening was the Grand finale of the 3rd edition of Wrestling Academy. The event took place in Saint-Léonard at the magnificent Leonardo Da Vinci Center, very close to my home. Jonathan Divertissement (that’s me!) went there to see if the man he consider to be the best independent wrestler in the country Jeremy Prophet would be able to win the competition for a second time.

There will be 4 winners, 2 women and 2 men, that will win 10 000$ each and the opportunity to wrestle in Mexico and Japan; pretty amazing!

The show is about to begin! Jacques Rougeau briefly tells us how the evening will unfold until the rock band Atomic Train plays their famous song Playground; It’s the start of the festivities!

Out of competition: CHARLIE HUBLEY versus “STEEL CITY SAINT” VINNIE DaVINCI

Eliminated from the competition and with nothing left to lose, the turbulent Charlie Hubley tries to settle scores with judge Tony Gatillo!

Once in the ring, the colorful Charlie, still pissed off, wrestles in a very vicious manner, making full use of the ring to abuse the Saint of the City of Steel.

Vinnie DaVinci honors the Center that bears his name by demonstrating all the know-how of his educated feet, as good old Jim Ross would say! Vinnie’s trained legs then serve to trip Hubley into the cables for the 412*! The Saint climbs the cables and wins with a crossbody!

Out of competition: GISÈLE SHAW versus KAT VON HEEZ

Gisele manages to counter a back suplex by hitting Kat with knees, but she can’t do anything against a devastating piledriver! BOOM!

Von Heez places Shaw to flatten her with a Senton from the 2nd cable, but the Quintessential Diva has the flair to get out of the way before looking like a pancake!

Shaw blocks a few hits and counterattacks with a springboard Gisèle Cutter followed by a Samoan Driver! That’s good for a 2 count. Shaw runs in and BANG! A Harley Race flying knee!

WINNER: GISELE SHAW!

BAMBI HALL versus « RELENTESS » RYLIE ROSE

We start off in style with superb fisherwoman suplex courtesy of Bambi Hall who shows us that she is very athletic even if she is built strong! Rylie regains the advantage in the match with a Code Breaker. Relentless comes out of the ring and kicks Bambi’s head between the cables and follows up with a Drive By! POW POW!

Rose lands a souplex on Hall and gets a 2 count! Rylie puts Bambi in the cables for a Superplex, but Hall gets out of it and applies a Gory Bomb! BOOM!

WINNER: BAMBI HALL!

Judge Tony Gatillo wanted to be the first to speak. He finds that Bambi has improved during the competition and offers his management services to Rylie if she is ever interested because he sees so much potential in her. Ronnie Garvin was also very impressed by Rose who was very combative even if she is less heavy, because in wrestling, weight makes a big difference.

Ronnie adds to Bambi’s attention that he wouldn’t want to be her husband, because she seems like a real tough gal who could beat him up!

We will know who will win the two $10,000 prizes (and the chance to fight in Mexico and Japan) after the next fight, with the judges having to see the 4 participants perform before making their decision. It will be the same for men later.

« THE LITTLE MANIC » ZONDRA LEE versus « INTANGIBLE ZOË SAGER

Little Manic doesn’t waste a second and attacks Zoe before she even has a chance to step foot in the ring. Zondra tries to hurt Sager’s back while the crowd calls her a cheater. Lee then pushes Zoe towards the ring and the bell rings; the match has officially begun!

The crowd is split on who should win this match! Zoe takes the upper hand with a series of devastating kicks, including a face wash of Zondra in the corner delivered with such passion that the Intangible one found herself out of the ring!

We are treated to a very impressive Superplex of the 3rd cable from Sager! Zoe then puts Zondra on her shoulders and drops her in a electric chair bomb while holding her legs. She gets a 2 count and just can’t believe it! And neither do we!

Little Manic gets up and slaps Zoe before giving her a victorious Kryptonite Crunch while Saint-Léonard boos her copiously!

The Giant demonstrates his skills in the ring as he performs a Japanese planchette on Jeremy! Orion then demonstrates his power to all who might have doubted it as he lifts Prophet up at arm’s length in a military press and throws him at Daniels!

Chiseled then manages to bring down Giant Orion with a John Woo-style dropkick from the 2nd cable! The Giant finds himself in the corner and Chad takes the opportunity to launch a series of attacks which end spectacularly with an elbow so fiery that the Chiseled one went over the cables to land dangerously in the stairs!

Jeremy jumps out of the ring and fall into Giant Orion in a Frankensteiner! « Chiseled » rushes away, and decides to run again to increase his momentum… and poses proudly in the middle of the ring!

Meanwhile, the leader of the Black Québécois climbs to the edge of the ring and executes an Asai moonsault on Orion with such speed that Prophet finds himself at the bottom of the stage among the spectators!

The Giant sends his two opponents over the 3rd cable with a double clothesline! Giant Orion launches into the ropes and jumps over the cables onto Daniels and Prophet! Incredible for a man of such size!

Black Dynamite gets out of a choke hold with a solid slap, followed by two big rights that Orion takes before responding with the Falcon’s Arrow for a 2 count! The Giant then places Jeremy in the corner and applies a vicious Boston Crab to him between the ropes.

Jeremy is on the 3rd cable and executes a breathtaking hold that could be described as a reverse 450 with a senton finish! Completely insane! The height of astonishment, Giant Orion escapes at the count of 2! Chiseled Chad Daniels takes advantage of the general surprise to climb the cables and surprise Prophet with a victorious “Chiseled” Cutter.
